The
‘Manor House Stables’ has been beautifully
restored using natural earth-friendly materials and
traditional methods.
Dating back to the 18th Century this Grade II Listed
Stable Block now forms 2 units of quality self-catering
accommodation. Both are warm and welcoming with wood-burning
stoves, exposed beams and lime-washed walls.
The first floor ‘Hayloft’ (sleeps 4)
has a spacious open plan living/kitchen area whilst
the smaller ground floor ‘Bothy’ (sleeps
3) is cosy and is wheelchair-friendly. Both have access
to small private gardens.
Natural Eco-friendly Materials have been used everywhere.
Cotton, hemp and wood fibre insulate the walls and
real wood floors are covered with braided wool rugs
and recycled cotton mats. Fabrics are soft and natural
and colours are warm and earthy. The luxury mattresses
are made of organic Welsh wool.
The spacious main bathroom in the ‘Hayloft’
is a haven of peace and tranquility. Here you can
soak in the deep copper bateau Spa bath whilst watching
your favourite TV programme, relax in the sauna or
freshen up in the steam shower. And in the ‘Bothy’
an unusual wooden soaking tub adds luxury to the beautifully
tiled bathroom.
A basket of organic veg awaits you in the kitchen
along with other goodies to make each stay a little
more perfect.
